HV switchgear work in a humid hydropower environment — our engineering team's participation and what it demonstrates.
Our engineering team participated in the 12kV distribution work of a hydropower station in Liupanshui, Guizhou, responsible for on-site installation, commissioning and energization support of the high-voltage switchgear.
Project background
The site is a hydropower station where high humidity and fluctuating loads are the normal operating condition. Switchgear in such an environment must resist condensation and maintain stable interruption performance under load swings.

What our team did
The team handled equipment positioning, busbar and cable termination, protective-relay setting check and the staged energization test. Experience with high-humidity commissioning helped avoid insulation faults during the first energization.
